very rare to get this inherent. there's also a variant with -1 energy regen. ppl use it mostly to die in some pvp fighting arena where the other team tries to keep the last person alive for whatever reason to their advantage(correct me if i'm wrong). only gotten 1 myself over many a golds. as for worth, u might be able to find a collector since its a good skin (well... i liked skin by many. not including myself :P). like u said q13 after all. and not max hurts alot too. just be happy with whatever u can get. but it doesn't hurt to try and ask for more

c'mon, u have to admit that it is that rare. simply for the fact that u don't see 1 guy peddling a shop of self dropped dual-vamp weapons. or another guy out there farming for them(which u simply cannot do). ive only had 1. how many have u had? and also the fact that some dude made a thread about it.... well, ive seen worse. but still. i believe Over 90% players go through GW without having one drop. hope thats rare enough for u. now whether or not they drop with nice skins are usable requirements is a different story... a different story that makes the good ones even more rare.

Not THAT rare, I've gotten a few - everyone hypes these. Not tons around now days but there are not nearly as many people farming old school areas as there used to be back in the day. I would say it is very uncommon - but it is not "very rare".

And 90% never seeing one drop? lol? You are making up random stats... they could get merched or any number of things and you would never know. When I was buying unids I would get cheap ones in LA and I got 2-3 dead bows with -1hp, which I merched.

As for the value of that one 50k+

Ive Had hundreds 14-15/-1 drop from my 18000 chests opened in cantha..

Before the hype i kept merching all those random ones..

In my ~7,4k chests in Cantha I have never had a single +15/-1 drop. Ever. I'm still waiting for one, and hoping, but in my opinion it's pretty rare. Drop codes are random of course, so might just be I end up getting 3 in a row. Just like yesterday, a friend asked me if I had any more elite necro tomes, I just sold all of em, and he was quite disapointed, but then I ended up getting 2 from 2 consecutive chests, was pretty funny imo.

It's rare, but not that rare.

haha, as for the random stats claim. yeah, so... it seemed appropriate. but if u think about it... out of the last 100 golds i've gotten till my latest whatever title. not even 10 of those have been a vamp mod(debating on whichever have been even a martial weapon that is capable is a different issue). thus in my mind, taking that to a personal acquirement of gold drops, its actually way less than 90 percent drop rate. i've only bout 4,000 chests to my name atm and like i said only come across 1 that i can actually claim. plus ive been running some outcast around as of late, and came across 3 gold shields within bout 30-40 lockpicks. just throwing that out there for some comparison of rarity. so, i actually believe less than 90% would be an understatement. u have to realize just How many ppl are playing GW.
aside from that, agreed whatever was said for price. that guy know prices.

I have run over 2k Outcast chests, and I have gotten a total of 5 shields. 2 purple, 3 gold, all of them pure shyte. Just to give a comparison.

sry for that bad rap bro. srsly though?? ide say out of every 80 set of keys i get i get bout 3-4 each round... at least! weird how this game works out for ppl. ive also run bout 200+ vsf runs to no avail(doing the hard part!!). but have come across many ppl who've gotten multiple. within a few months.... damn u GW keeping me intrigued and playing~~~!!!!

No, I am serious. I started running outcasts chests, just for the shields, which is why I kept track of it.. Some friends of mine run them too, but they get the same as you, some 3-4 shields/80 picks. I quit running their chests because it was to no avail lol..

Last time i tried chesting for outcast shield, by only opening outcast chests (used the one in rheas carter)

i ran around 15 chests and got gold r10 str one

outcast shield hmm probably from 400 chests ive gotten about 2 golds and 2 purples, running jade sea is pretty boring all you get is jade wands and outcast armors lol i can probably do 50 chests max if i tried then ill give up.

id say the chances of getting good mods are the same for every other shield, except there drop rate is shit.

Not that rare. I've merched too many to count... R8's with the -1 however... Quite uncommon indeed. Any other req?... Nothing to write home about but still odd and sellable usually.

Not to be rude, but you keep picking the stupidest examples. An outcast shield is not rare in itself, the chance of one with really good stats FAR exceeds the chance of a 15 -1 weapon. A golden phoenix blade drops quite ofter, but of course getting a -1 version is not as common.

And then you even pointed out that others get different drop rates as well for some items making your claims even more ridiculous. They are not all that rare, you just don't get them as drops. I am not even half way on chests and I have gotten several, and now there are multiple people saying the same thing.

Even in this thread there are 3 saying they have had multiples drop, one with a single drop and two of you with none. So far that is over half that have gotten one. How does that equal 90%? ;P

Making percentage of drops is almost impossible imo. U just can say something drops more or less. Some mods are more wanted, are not "rare" themselves.

15/-1 drops less than others and it's wanted. I had 3 of them latest months, even if they were -1nrg.

Percentages are fake in GW imo. The are just things that ppl like and prefer and others that don't like.

Wanna an example? 30 mins farming i had 2 gothics defenders and an ornate with good stats. Same another day when i had 2 echos (bad modded) in about an hour...and only few other golds

Chest running in Rhea's Crater i had 2 gold Outcast shields on maybe 300-400 chests...

The appetibility of mods is just the use they have, shields are for the skins mostly...as any non-inscribable to be good must have 2 decent mods. Weapons must have 1

Another example are inscribable shields. Draconic aegis that ppl like, cos they look good, aren't rare, but ppl pay lot for them anyway. Drop from Zaishen, FoW, UW and all Slavers chests

Demonic Aegis which only drop from Zaishen Chest and FoW final chest aren't wanted without any reason. And theoretically they should be rarer than Draconic since drop from less chests

So...what is rare?? some things in the GW market simply don't make sense....As in real-life there are things that are the latest fashion without any benefit from them, others not

skin value is based on looks, most of the time, only exclusive items are considered rare because they are hard to find or not acquireable anymore and yes any item with good stats non-inscriptable can be considered rare. rarity and value can be in the same item or seperately although some inscriptables have totally destroyed some of there counterparts.

15/-1 mod? not that rare they still pop up, if it happens to be a req8 weapon then its pretty rare and valuable, on a req9+ item id say its not that rare but otherwise still semi valuable based on its skin

I've run 16k chests (at least 10k in Cantha), and had 3 (two were nrg modded).

I've had quite a few more farming...

People are silly if they think these weapons are not rare. Is mini Dhuum rare? I'd be willing to bet a lot that his drop rate from UW chest is better than the 15/-1 drop rate from any inherent-weapon chests.

Of course, I am biased because I collect them. However, there is a reason I started collecting. With nothing else to spend cash on, I figured I'd gather up some of the items I always thought were exceedingly rare and cool finds in all my time running chests.

My opinion on their current drop rarity (just my observations, ofc): more rare than current drops of blue r8 max shields and less rare than gold r8 max shields.

"Farming" dual-vamps seens quite impossible,
but in certain areas you have better odds than in others.

f.ex.: we want to chestrun one hand dual-vamp weapons, so we look for lots of golden swords and axes in the drop-pool.

Look for an area without armor in the pool (-> more swords and axes).

Napui chestruns will give you good odds.

Celestials, crenelated, some canthan global swords and no armor.

With this in mind I found 6 myself in the last 3 months, including a celestial sword R9 15/-1, but you need patience, lots of.

Edit: If you want to be super smart, you can even "test" your unidents in an ex-area and sell the rest.

Well...as i already told, between all the mods a martial weapon can have, finding one with the 15/-1hp occurs few times. Also: +15/-1nrg is rare the same as -1hp but less valuable......this should also make u ponder about rarity of item and related market...

about what The Mountain said above: If u want Mini Dhuum u just have to beat the UW and open a chest: the possibilities of having mini Dhuum are the same as having a silver boar scepter.

I did only 4-5 UW SC after Dhuum update and the very first time i had Dhuum Soul Reaper dropped....A guildy do it 24/7 and had only 2 times scythe, 1 eternal blade and other few Celestial Compasses, between 400-500 runs...

Obviously if u wanna find a 15/-1 weapon just farm a lot and u are maybe lucky, but farming a lot won't give the certainity of having one...
